HEART Animal Rescue and Adoption Team, is a no kill, all volunteer organization whose mission is to respect all animals and to help each animal gain its rightful place in the world, regardless of handicap or personality. HEART has been in the WNY community for more than 28 years. Our adoption center is located in the village of Hamburg and we have many foster homes throughout the region.
Type of Volunteer Needed
Ages 18 and above. Volunteers are needed seven days a week.
Volunteer Skills Needed
Volunteers must have a love for all animals and possess good people skills. Volunteers must have hands on expertise in caring for cats and dogs.
Volunteers are expected to perform a regular "paws on‰ assignment. Volunteers must be able to commit to scheduled volunteer times.
