Our mission at the Alliance for the Great Lakes is to conserve and restore the world's largest freshwater resource using policy, education and local efforts, ensuring a healthy Great Lakes and clean water for generations of people and wildlife.

Volunteer Skills Needed
Volunteers needed for the Adopt-a-Beach Program. The program consists of a beach cleanups and beach health assessments. Volunteers should be able to walk along shorelines to collect litter. Volunteers are trained in observation based scientific practices and provided with a water quality test kit to determine beach health.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Completion of Adopt-a-Beach training (in-person or through webinar). Collecting litter, recording observations, and entering this data into online website.
