Organization Mission
The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research. Our mission: To eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Type of Volunteer Needed
Ages 16 and older
Volunteer Skills Needed
People skills, the ability to multi-task, a working knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia is preferred but not required. The association will train as needed.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Computer Support Volunteer-word processing and data entry.Office Support-answer telephones, basic office reception and special assignments.
Special Events Volunteer: assist staff with fundraising activities such as the Memory Walk, Memories in the Making and the Blue Moon Gala.
Art Program Assistant: work with residents in a dementia care facility on projects for the Memories in the Making program.
