Reengineering the Historic West Village in crime and safety measures, housing improvement and preservation, creation of child friendly events ala Chattauqua, reinvestment in architectural heritage, combining cultures within the borders for enhanced neighbor events and partnering. The West Village is stand alone as it is the oldest continually resided
neighborhood in Buffalo. The home of folks like Ebenezer Johnson, Grover Cleveland, the site of over 12 historic hotels built for the Pan Am. The West Village is not Allentown - that came later. The first park in Buffalo was estsablished in 1837 as a gift to the city by our first mayor - Ebenezer Johnson.
