The museum is located in the original Allan Herschell Company factory building, listed on the National Register. Exhibits interpret the company history of carousel, amusement rides, and band organ manufacture. There are family oriented events, classes and activities two carousels to ride and an operational band organ.
Type of Volunteer Needed
Special events volunteers, especially with the Renaissance Festival on Saturday, June 3, 2006. Admission greeters, carousel operators, gift shop assistants, docents volunteers are needed on an ongoing basis.
Volunteer Skills Needed
Interact well with people, positive about museum and region, flexible as to assignment of responsibilities.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Assistance with greeting visitors, admissions, staff games, silent auction table, monitor craft activities, assist with set-up and take-down of event.
