College Summit is a national nonprofit organization that partners with schools and districts to strengthen college-going culture and increase college enrollment rates, so that all students graduate career and college-ready.

Good communication and active listening skills,
experience and/or willingness to work with diverse populations, desire to make a difference, flexibility, ability to work in an emotionally intense and rewarding environment.
Volunteer Responsibilities
As a Writing Coach You Can Expect to:
Help students transform their experiences into powerful personal statements. Receive comprehensive training on the first day of the workshop on how to implement College Summit's interactive writing process. Be supported by a Writing Coach Coordinator who has been trained to guide and assist Writing Coaches throughout the workshop. Create a safe place for students to freely share their triumphs, challenges and obstacles. Engage the students with one another and facilitate the sharing of experiences. Have a profound impact on our societies' young people. Be challenged to grow and push your personal boundaries. Complete an evaluation form on each student.
